Blockade Studios is a new animation facility producing original content for games, film, TV and direct to DVD. Generalists are responsible for animation and choreography for props and characters. The position will start February 1st. This position will be full time and must work from our studio in Sherman Oaks, CA.
• Solid and efficient at high and low-poly polygonal modeling of characters and props
• Exercises good UV unwrapping techniques and proficient in generating normal maps from multiple sources including modeling, height maps, and photos.
• Solid texture artist, strong understanding of rigging workflow and principles
• MEL scripter: capable of automating basic tasks
• Solid compositing, camera tracking, and particle/dynamics skills
• Artists must have experience creating normal, specular, diffuse, and effects maps
• Must be Solid understanding of weight, scale, and proportion.
• Mastery of Maya and 3DS Max
• Expert in Photoshop and familiar with other 2D and 3D tools
• Organized and detail oriented with a consistent follow through.
• Must be capable working in a variety styles from photo realistic to stylized.
• Previous experience with popular existing game engines like UE3 is preferred.
