Blockade Produces Lego Batman Animated Series

Blockade Entertainment has produced a Lego Batman Animated Series for online distribution in partnership with Warner Brothers and KidsWB.com.

The Lego Batman animated series leverages state-of-the-art techniques by using the existing Lego Batman video game engine and assets, which were provided by game publisher Traverlers Tales. The series has recently launched exclusively on KidsWB.com, and will eventually be available in other formats. The series is also part of the current McDonalds Happy Meal promotion, where a secret code can be used to unlock the content.

The original story entitled "How to Build the Perfect Bat Trap" was written by Richard Beechen and directed by Richard Curby. The 5-part series follows Batman and Robin as they battle through a giant cast of Gotham City villains in order to save Commissioner Gordon, who has been kidnapped by the Joker and his gang.
